There is some good news in the world of loan modifications such as Bank of America the biggest recipient of TARP funds is now planning on reducing principle balances on some of its loans for its clients. Supposedly they plan on reducing up to 30 percent of the loan balance.
As with any business dealings , it is critical that you check out the company that you are seeking to do business with . If at any time, you don’t feel like they are being up front or clear ( hopefully before you give them a check), don’t feel pressured to stick with them because they are your only hope. If they are trying to convince you that they are your only hope, I would be even more skeptical.
